Mistakes to Avoid as a Home Buyer!!

Looking to buy? Here are 5 common mistakes you should try to avoid:

Mistake #1: Not knowing how much you can afford before you start looking at homes. You can avoid this mistake and let down by calling a lender and getting Pre-qualified as your very first step.

Mistake #2 Not finding out who the Realtor actually represents. Unless your agent an agent is working with you as the buyers agent they represent the seller. Make sure to have a separate agent represent you from the sellers agent.

Mistake #3 Not knowing how different debts can effect their ability to qualify for a mortgage.  Be sure to speak with your mortgage representative so you know what will and won't effect you.

Mistake #4 Not knowing that certain mortgages can cost you thousands of extra dollars in the end. Be sure to bring this up with you mortgage representative as well so you are sure to get the best program for your situation.

Mistake #5 Not completing a home inspection. This is a major no-no! You want to pay a professional to inspect your home so you can find all/any of the defects in the home during your inspection period so you can have them corrected.
